PLASMA FIBROBLAST SKIN TIGHTENING

“Fibroblast Skin Tightening” is also known as “Plasma Pen Treatment”, “Plasma Skin Tightening”, “Fibroblast”, “Plasma Fibroblast” and more. This skin tightening treatment is a safe and effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and tighten loose, saggy skin. It is MUCH less expensive than surgery and clients can recover within a week.

Fibroblast Skin Tightening is a relatively new innovation in the beauty industry in North America but has been used for a number of years in Europe. The extremely accurate device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its metal tip and the skin, to form a plasma charge. An electric arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The tissue retraction and tightening gives results that are comparable to invasive surgery by physically reducing the volume of skin in the surrounding area. Not only does the skin shrink, the collagen producing cells go into overdrive. They start regenerating collagen production which in return also tightens loose skin, giving a smoother and more firm appearance to one’s skin.

X NO Laser or Scalpel
X NON-INVASIVE – Needle in device never touches the skin
X NO blood

A series of tiny brown spots are strategically placed to attain the desired result for the excess skin. The skin around the spot tightens instantly, pulling the cells closer together. Each of these spots are only in the epidermis, therefore eliminating potential damage to surrounding tissues.

The only plasma pen that we work with, give to our students, and suggest that you use is the Plamere Plasma Pen. The reason we only stand behind this pen is because it is approved by the FDA. It is also the only pen that an insurance company will give you insurance for working with.

No you don’t need to be an esthetician, cosmetologist, nor a nurse to perform plasma pen treatment. This treatment does not fall under any of those certifying boards.

Yes! You will get hands on training. You will bring in a model and you will perform the eyelid tightening Plasma treatment on them with direct supervision. We can try to find you a model if you do not have anyone but we don’t promise that we will as this is your responsibility when signing up for training.

Every state and county is different so be sure to check with your local health and beauty departments.

I can only speak for California – California does not currently have any regulations for Plasma Pen Treatment. Since the needle never touches nor breaks one’s skin, the health department will not consider the treatment under their scope of practice. The cosmo/esthetics boards will not consider the treatment under their scope of practice because the device causes tiny scabs on the epidermis when performing the treatment.

A Bloodborne Pathogen Certificate is not required to begin working but since a needle and skin are involved, we highly suggest you take an online course prior to taking our in person course. Bloodborne Pathogen courses typically take 2 hours online and cost about $30.It’s also important for you to have liability insurance and a business license but we will guide you through this process during class.

We currently only offer in person training at our San Diego studio. It is very convenient as we manage to teach everything in 1 day which makes for a good day trip.

Everyone’s skin is different and healing time will vary by person and the treatment they had done. Every client can expect to have some downtime. They should plan for swelling and at least 1-3 days of an ‘uncomfortable’ feeling. During their healing, they will not be able to keep up with their regular skin care regimen. In our training program, we will go over aftercare and exactly how your clients should care for their skin post treatment and what you should plan on giving them to help the healing process.

During training, we will tell you all you need to know about aftercare, what products to use on your client, what to suggest they use during and after healing, etc. One of the most important things we use for disinfecting purposes is colloidal silver. A big thing we tell clients to start using after their skin is healed is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid will promote healing and collagen production.

In our Plasma Fibroblast training, we only teach you how to work on the areas that we firmly believe will have results. The areas we do not believe in, nor train on, are: any technique to make the nose appear smaller and breast lifts.

Yes, we numb each area for one hour prior to beginning. We rotate through a few different anesthetics that we like. We will give you a list of our favorites during training.

  • Client can’t be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a bleeding or drainage disorder

No, plasma pen and microneedling are two different treatments, however they are both used to treat wrinkles, and loose saggy skin. They both also stimulate the production of collagen, are helpful for skin rejuvenation, and are considered minimally invasive.

Plasma Fibroblast uses a very tiny acupuncture needle at the end of the Plamere Plasma Pen. The charge is sent through the pen when it is hovering over the surface of the skin. The needle never actually touches the skin but the charge from the pen creates tiny burn marks on the skin as the treatment is performed.

Microneedling is a minimally-invasive procedure that involves the use of tiny sterilized needles to prick the skin. For fine lines, the process involves pushing the needles about 1 mm deep into the skin. Deeper scars or wrinkles may require the needle depth to be at 1.5 to 2 mm.

The resulting wounds from both treatments encourage the body to produce new collagen and elastin, which heals, tightens, and revitalizes the skin.

Microneedling can help with issues like shallow wrinkles, fine lines, acne and injury scars, and large pores. Plasma Pen therapy can help with deeper and more complex issues like upper eyelid hooding, crow’s feet, jawline laxity, and benign lesion removal; as well as the issues that microneedling addresses. Plasma Pen therapy is more effective in treating both shallow issues as well as conditions that involve sagging and less tone in the skin. The plasma pen gives incredible skin tightening effects, and can also remove skin tags and help minimize the look of stretchmarks.

With Plasma Pen therapy, you will be able to see noticeable results after the area is fully healed, which can take around 6 to 8 weeks. You can expect results to last for three years or even longer.

For microneedling, results may be noticeable after 3 to 4 weeks and will last for about 3 to 5 months. It is common for microneedling clients to schedule 2 to 3 sessions a year to maintain their results.

Both methods may require more than one treatment to achieve your desired results. But while microneedling may require 3 to 6 sessions, Plasma Pen therapy usually takes only 1 to 2.

No, plasma fibroblast is not considered PMU (permanent makeup).  The needle never actually touches the skin, no blood is involved during the treatment, and no pigments are used, therefore it’s not considered “permanent makeup”.

Yes, we offer Microblading, Microshading, and Tattoo Removal. You can find more info about them here.
